His only clues as to the gem’s location are that it glows red under the full moon and that it is a doublet: a gem hidden within a larger gem. Thus, it would have to be a relatively large one with a bizarre history, and always stored in a place that never receives moonlight. He thus researches and steals famous priceless gems with odd histories from incredibly well-defended areas, and always returns them after the very next full moon.

In the year 2010 AD hyper hurricanes devastated large parts of the Earth, with a death toll of over five billion humans. The well-established global economy and powerful military organizations were wiped out. North America, Russia, and Northern Europe are now covered by glaciers; large land masses sank in the oceans — the world's topography dramatically changed, with humanity on the brink of extinction, and civilization in utter chaos.
The Japanese government created special economic areas which have achieved a limited degree of recovery after the disaster. Powered Assist Technology, which had long been under study, played an important role there restoration efforts. However, outside of these economic zones, in the surrounding slums, there is widespread poverty. The ruling class calls themselves Logos and maintains its position by force of arms, making full use of the Powered Assist Technology in their military. They call the poor Revenus, who are exiled to live outside the special economic areas.Time has passed since then. Katsuragi Jou and Tsurasawa Jin, escape from Phantom — a special unit created by Logos to keep the Revenus in check, and to hunt down renegade elements — taking with them a mysterious girl, Nobuto Sana. There are many factions interested in her, and so Jou and Jin face continued opposition protecting Sana, and the unspeakable secret connected to her past.

But then...Before the old man and lady's eyes, the children who they had taken care of transformed into the Eon Pokemon, Latios and Latias. They called their family from the sky. They came, and carried a stone with them containing the power to force the monsters away. This gem was known as the "Soul Dew". Peace returned to the island. However, later in the present, a criminal duo - Zanner and Lions - are seeking Latios and Latias in order to take control of the Soul Dew. Taking a short break in Altomare, Satoshi befriends Latias and is now dragged into the situation helping to save Altomare from becoming swallowed up by destruction again.

Plot Summary: About one thousand years into the future, civilization has been retrograded and humans are living dispersed within small communities. People in this era have a psychic power called “Juryoku” which materializes things they imagine. In the absence of advanced scientific technology, people are using this power as a major source of energy. One day, a girl called Saki, along with her friends, finds a small archive robot outside the town. It records the ancient history of humans.
It tells them that Juryoku was found in the 21st century and the discovery caused a world war between psychics and non-psychics. The psychics won this war and thus their reign of terror began. When the adults in town figure out that the children discovered this forbidden knowledge, they seal their Juryoku and exile them. Saki and the others end up in a forest where they meet a huge hairless bipedal mouse known as a “Bakenezumi” and get involved in a violent war the creatures are currently engaged in.
